Sahil Singh Let's talk
Sahil Singh

Hi, I'm Sahil. I help operations teams get their hours back.

I'm a product person who works in analytics and AI, and I've built inside lending, used-car finance, retail distribution and logistics. Today I help businesses where money and goods move through people and paperwork find the repetitive work eating their team's week, then build the tool that does it.

No pitch. You describe the process and I tell you honestly whether AI helps.

What I take off your team

  • Matching payout or settlement statements against what you billed, and listing the gaps in rupees.
  • Reading invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes into your system without retyping.
  • Chasing late shipments, collections and follow-ups, and logging what happened.
  • Answering repeat customer and partner questions from your own documents.
  • Turning weekly reports someone builds by hand into ones that build themselves.

How we'd start. A fixed-price workflow audit: 90 minutes on how the work happens today, then a written note on where the hours and rupees go. If it's worth it, a small pilot on one task, then a build and a handover so you don't depend on me.

Where I've done this before

Spinny

Used-car marketplace. My longest stint, from a small team to a multi-billion-dollar company.

  • Grew the budget-car vertical to a $3M/month revenue rate in 6 months, growing 60% month on month.
  • Streamlined procurement of 5,000+ cars a month with 150+ inspectors across 10+ cities, and cut inspection scheduling from hours to 10 minutes.
  • Built 20+ automated dashboards used by 8,000+ people, and hired and mentored 20+ analysts with 90% retention over two years.

How Spinny cut listing time from 7 days to 7 hours

1K Kirana Bazaar

Retail and distribution for grocery stores, backed by Info Edge, Alpha Wave and Kae Capital. Joined as Assistant Product Manager in Nov 2021, promoted to Product Manager within four months.

  • Cut about $30K (3% of supply) of pilferage in two months with an OpenCV-based proof of delivery.
  • Saved 50+ man-hours a week with a tool that streamlined purchase orders for 8,000 SKUs and 150+ vendors.
  • Added $400K+ (15%) of secondary revenue in two months with a mobile app for 130+ field sales managers.

VahanPe

My first company: lending against used commercial vehicles.

I saw the gap while at Spinny and built a platform for banks to lend in used trucks, a bit like Rupeek or Indiagold for vehicles. I spoke to senior leaders in the space, closed four to five loans myself as a direct selling agent of SK Finance, and pitched to VCs.

SeedsAI

My second company: an AI copilot for customer-facing teams at banks and NBFCs.

Conversational intelligence to make remote workforce management easier and cheaper for lenders. We did not make it work as a business and closed it. It taught me what lenders' teams actually need, and what it costs to find out.

A lender partnership platform

Built end to end, for a home-loan distributor. Shown here with the company and its data removed.

It tracks about 115 lender tie-ups, payout claims, billing, GST and TDS. Its reconciliation desk sorts mismatches by the rupees at stake, groups the long tail into a few repeating patterns, and turns a repeated fix into a rule. On test data, five patterns covered 80 to 86 percent of mismatched lines.

Product work at Medikabazaar and Burger Singh, a research internship at Aurobindo Pharma, and a consumer idea I researched in full: House of Alura, affordable everyday jewellery for India.

About me

I studied Bioengineering at IIT Kanpur, then did a Post Graduate Programme in Management at Masters' Union. I started in pharma research at Aurobindo, moved to quick-service restaurants at Burger Singh, and then spent the longest stretch at Spinny watching a small team become a large company.

At 1K Kirana I moved into product, and at Masters' Union I started building in lending: first VahanPe, then SeedsAI. Neither became a lasting business, but both left me with something useful: I know how lenders' operations work, where the paperwork piles up, and what a rupee of delay costs.

I think technology is most useful when it solves one hard, specific problem for someone who feels it every day. I'm customer-first, curious, and willing to take calculated risks for long-term impact.

I work as a one-person practice. You deal with me, not an account manager and a junior team. I also keep an IIT Kanpur network across operations, finance and engineering teams, and where it helps I'll introduce you to someone who has solved your problem before.

I write on my Substack.
